Resistance Feel & Amount
The Speediance provides up to 220lb of digital resistance which is no joke! To me it resembles a free weight experience. When using both cables, they feel completely independent meaning it is on you to control your lift and keep the movement coordinated. The resistance is smooth yet very challenging assuming you turn it up but also very manageable for those working with lighter weights. In short, you are completely in control and easily supports all people no matter where they are at in their strength journey.
Resistance Points & Adjustability
Speediance can offer a huge number of exercises from many resistance points. This is because the connection point can go up and down the back post allowing the resistance to come from many different points. The accessory adapter that resistance comes from can also be moved to the mat, so the resistance comes from directly below you. This opens up a lot of leg exercises, curls, presses, and other exercises where you push upwards. While other options do have more angles to have exercises from, I found this to have more than enough to feel like you are getting a great full-body exercise.
User Interface
Works well, easy to learn, fast, and laid out well. I am not very picky when it comes to user interfaces. As long as they provide access to quality features and lay out everything in a way that anyone can pick up and strart using right away, I am happy. With Speediance, main exercise structures are spread across the top of the screen making it very easy to quickly get to what you want. A pop out on the side makes it easy to log out, go to sleep, and get to common functions. Building out custom exercises and having the weight, reps, and sets configured is extremely straightforward. Nothing bad to say, even someone uncomfortable with technology should be able to figure this out which to me, means this was built out well.
Content
This is an area the Speediance shines. It is not overly personalized, meaning it is not an instructor talking to you. Trying to pump you up or give the feeling they are in your house helping you out directly. It is more direct and straightforward which I love. It has many formats including choose your own exercises, create your own structure, programs that can keep going for weeks, and a manual mode. These different modes are likely to offer different experiences that are going to make just about anyone feel like they can find the experience they are looking for. I also enjoyed the manual mode because sometimes, you don't want the fluff. Let me dial in the weight, features, and assistance I need and get to work. Speediance laid out their manual mode perfectly for this. Really enjoyed the variety, features, and get to business structure of the Speediance content.

This may sound like a lot of money and it is. But lets take a second to compare this against the closest competitor, "Speediance Gym Monster vs Tonal"! The Tonal is a great machine, and if I were to say the Tonal was a 10 out of 10, the Speediance is right behind being a 9 out of 10. The overwhelming difference though, is that the Tonal costs over 5,000 dollars to get into your house. It also has a monthly fee of 59.95 a month making the first year of ownership come in around 5,770 dollars. But even after the first year, you have to factor in over 30 dollars a month more to own and use the Tonal. I have both machines because of the reviews I do and I can tell you, my Tonal membership is paused and I use the Speediance. I am also considering selling my Tonal. Love the Tonal, but I am okay with a very small step back in the Speediance while saving loads of money.
