Are you thinking about the Aniioki A8 Pro Max as a possible electric bike for yourself? I have thoroughly tested this Ebike and validated what the worst case scenario is for the electric range and you may be surprised! Before we get too far... a quick summary of what this Ebike is all about. This is a fat tire Ebike, with banana style seat, 1200/1600 watt motor, fantastic suspension, theft prevention system, and a whole lot more. Don't worry, we are going to break all this down here. If you would like to learn more in video form, I have the video posted here.
I LOVE riding Ebikes around. Unfortunately, I have realized I generally get anxiety from Ebikes for two reasons. First is range anxiety which we will talk about more soon. Second, is the threat of theft. These bikes are expensive and often so easy to steal. You want to take them places and use them as a form of transportation, but don't feel comfortable leaving them. Most eBikes have keys but many are only for removing the battery. Even if you remove the key, anyone can hit the power button and ride off. With the Aniioki A8 Pro Max you need to have a the key fob with you. It will not power on until you run through a sequence with the key fob. This means anyone trying to steal your beloved Ebike will have to ride off under their own own power making it much harder. Second, as long as you lock it with your key fab, as soon as they start moving it an alarm sounds. Between these security methods and your typical bike chain, you can feel a lot more comfortable leaving your Ebike behind.
Big Ebike weighing in around 100 lbs., fat tires, a little extra power, throttle, and fancy anti-theft system. This eBike sounds intimidating if you are new to this! I am here to tell you, don't be. The Aniioki A8 Pro Max was a joy to ride. Very controllable, not overwhelming, easy to ride, and nimble, and while it has good power it is never jarring or scary. My first impression is that this is a bike I would have no problem spending hours riding. More specifically, I would prefer to be riding this bike for hours because it is that easy and enjoyable.
The Aniioki A8 Pro Max comes with both a spring shock absorber and a hydraulic suspension. These work together to provide a very comfortable ride. I live in Michigan and the hot summers and cold winters do no favors for the roads. Okay, that is too light. They are horrible. And while you will of course feel a huge pothole in the road, overall this bike stays extremely connected to the road in a very comfortable way. The 20-inch fat tires have a smaller diameter wheel compared to other fat tire eBikes. This helps you feel a little lower to the ground. While this is a personal preference, a lot of people, especially if new to riding an e-bike don't enjoy the feeling of the bike being too big, tall, or heavy. This can feel like too much bike or like the bike is controlling you instead of the other way around. This bike is great at still offering all the benefits of a fat-tire Ebike experience without feeling like too much bike if that worries you.
The Aniioki A8 Pro Max comes with a 1,200 watt brushless motor. This motor produces 90Nm of torque which helps in those situations where some grunt is needed. Personally, I don't care for electric bikes that have too little power. It makes me feel unsafe with how I ride. If need to get through a busy intersection or move through traffic, I want to be able to do that. This bike has what I think is most likely the perfect power structure for most riders. If is plenty of power to handle city driving, but never feels like too much. It doesn't feel like it is going through you offf the bike, get squirrely, or uncontrollable. When accelerating from a stop up a steep incline, it powered right up the incline wihtout batting an eye. Many Ebikes struiggle with this. Heading into this same overpass at top speed, it only lost 4 MPH which is fantastic. The word with this bike might be balance. Always plenty, but never too much. Definitely, applies to the power this bike has at its disposal.
Braking is often overlooked when it comes to any bike, but if you have an e-bike that can move at higher speeds, you want brakes that work well. The Aniioki A8 Pro Max has 180mm thick hydraulic disk brakes and they work really well. When I hit the brakes, it does not slip or struggle to slow me down. When I squeeze the brakes, it provides very good and instant feedback and I instantly feel the bike slowing down. It can lock up the rear wheel which to me is a sign the brakes work really well. You quickly learn how much pressure to apply for how quickly you want to slow down. Even from top speed, I can be stopped in a few seconds. Fantastic brakes.
Headlight - Easy on off switch from the handle bars. Lights well and makes sure you are noticed.
Blinkers - None and wish it had them. For a bike that can stay on the road for a long time, this would have been a great feature.
Taillight - Yup!
Color Display - Very easy to see in sunlight, sharp lines, color, and great contrast. Adds to the experience and lets you see what you need to see with ease.

I already talked about the suspension and that has a huge impact on overall comfort when riding. Another major factor is the seat. The Aniioki A8 Pro Max comes with a banana style seat and I must say it is very comfortable. The seat arches around you and is also wider than most bike seats to provide maximum support. This is great for longer rides. One potential negative is if you plan to do a lot of pedaling. I found the wider seat tended to rub against my thighs when pedaling and wonder if this could become painful after a while. In short, great seat if you plan to use the throttle most of the time and pedal occasionally. If you plan to pedal a lot, may not be as comfortable over time.
Battery - This is a great end-to-end bike but here is the massive selling point. A 3120wh battery that advertises a throttle-only range of 80 to 110 miles.
Charger - 8A/14A Smart Charger. A big battery requires a bit of charger. Done and done.
My Range Results - I was able to make it 74 miles on one charge. This may sound disappointing but it was not and here is why. First, I am 6'3" and 230 Lbs. meaning I am not aerodynamic and I give the bike a good test with my weight. Second, shooting video and testing this bike thoroughly means a lot of stop-and-go with minimal coasting. Last, I tested this bike's off-road capabilities in very challenging conditions which I know pushed the batteries hard. With all that said, I still went 74 miles on one charge! I have no doubt that if I was riding normally, I would have gone much further. In addition to that, this bike had optimal acceleration and top-end speed throughout almost the entire battery life. Many bikes really start to lose performance as the battery drains and this one did not at all which I loved. Extremely happy with how far you can ride this on one charge and just keep going without range anxiety.
It was a great day to test when I took this out. Recent rains had certain areas turned into hidden mud pits under the grass, other areas were extremely bumpy testing the suspension, plant growth was tall and thick making it hard to get through. And the Aniioki A8 Pro Max handled it like a champ! I also felt in control and like I could do what I wanted to. Poor suspension or top heavy bike can sometimes feel jarring or like you cannot keep the bike under you. Not with this bike. The suspension worked well to keep me connected so I could make quick but controlled decisions.
It is not a dirt bike that powers through with ease. The vegetation was tall and dragging at the bike. I know many other Ebikes would have failed, but the Aniioki A8 Pro Max handled it well. At no point was I worried I lacked the power to keep going. It was not fast, and you could tell the motor was being tested, but it did it. As I mentioned in the video review, this is not a bike you probably look for extreme off-roading but if you find yourself in that situation, you can do it without worry. If you think this is something you may do frequently, considering the dual motor option of this e-bike might be a good move.
I am keeping this section shorter because I don't think most will be using this bike primarily to off-road, but it is still a huge piece of what the bike can do. And overall, it does great. If you want some serious power to fly around, the dual motor version will be important. The smaller diameter wheels tend to put you more in tall grass instead of riding above it, but again you need to be in some really thick conditions for this to be a consideration. Outside of those concerns, this bike handled the off-roading wonderfully. I would have no problem going through rough trails, fields, or other heavy off-roading conditions.

The most important factor when picking an e-bike and getting great value is to find one that has the features you will enjoy. Ebike comes in so many flavors these days. Folding, powerful, regular bike style with minimal Ebike assist, off-roading, dirt bike, and so on. This is an Ebike fat-tire experience and it does almost everything for that style of Ebike extremely well. This is an e-bike anyone can jump on and control. It has good power but not too much. A great screen and a very comfortable ride. Lower center of gravity, quality tires, and very nice suspension give you a very controllable, nimble, and enjoyable ride.
Brakes that let you slow down quickly if you need to. There is no real sacrifice with this Ebike and that is one of the reasons I love it. It reminds me a lot of the Ride1Up Revv 1 which I love as well. The one major difference though... the battery. The fact that this bike goes and goes and goes is huge for me! If I enjoy an e-bike as much as I do this one, I don't want that fun to be short-lived.
Can you find less expensive options? Absolutely! But if you want something that is high quality and does everything with a massive range, this is a wonderful option. And for those reasons, if this bike matches what you are looking for, I do think this is an amazing value and highly recommend this bike.
